Do I need to know how to code?
No. If you can describe the problem out loud, you can run Merlin. The wizard writes all the code; you never have to read it.
What does it cost to run?
Merlin runs on a Claude account you own, and it works like payroll. The $20/month plan covers the typical owner — setup, a build here and there, everyday asks. Work it like a full-time employee (long builds daily, scheduled jobs around the clock) and you'll graduate to the $100/month tier. That's the entire payroll for staff that builds software. Everything else in the core setup is free; some builds add small costs ($6/month hosting if you want something on the public internet).
What kind of computer do I need?
Any reasonably modern Windows or Mac. Merlin lives on your machine — your data stays with you.
Is this ChatGPT?

Can't I just download Claude Code for free?
